About Us
The Troop:
Troop 831 was started in the early 1990s, and
since then has been pushing scouts toward their
eagle. We are a part of the Laurel Highlands
Council, Frontier District. We currently have
about 20 scouts of all sorts of backgrounds and
abilities. Troop 831 meets at Saint John's
Evangelical Lutheran Church weekly during the
Fall, Winter, and Spring on Sunday Evenings. Each
meeting is devised with an opening, certain skill
to learn, possibly a game, and a closing. Our
troop is scout-led, meaning that scouts manage and
schedule events with guidance and logistics from
the Troop Committee.
